10 Lessons WWE's Main Roster Is Slowly Learning From NXT's Success
2. Superstars Make Superstars
Bayley won at NXT Takeover: Respect because she earned victories over Charlotte and Sasha Banks, who were the first example of a superstar being made via earning a win over another superstar (Natalya) and then making another star in the same manner (Sasha). The WWE comparative to this would be John Cena making Kevin Owens and in many ways making Seth Rollins, too. If someone like say, Triple H or Brock Lesnar were to do something similar next year, don'rt be surprised. The "time honored traditions" in wrestling skipped a generation when The Rock and Steve Austin left WWE before really putting any new stars over in their prime. Brock Lesnar beat The Rock in 2002, but let's also realize that The Rock was certainly on a part-time schedule before then. As well, Steve Austin famously refused to do the honors for Brock, and was gone before John Cena, Eddie Guerrero, and so many more could've benefited from victories, too.
