10 LIES WWE Told You About WrestleMania

3. Most Attendance Records

WrestleMania – WWE's Grandest Stage of Them All, where the spectacle is as big as the attendance figures. Or so they say.

WWE loves to boast about record-breaking crowds, but the numbers often tell a different story. Take WrestleMania 32, for example. WWE proudly announced an attendance of 101,763 at AT&T Stadium, but the actual number was closer to 80,709.

This isn't a one-off occurrence. WrestleMania III is another classic case. WWE claimed an attendance of 93,173 at the Pontiac Silverdome, but the real figure was around 78,000. It's almost as if WWE enjoys adding a little extra flair to their numbers, just like they do with their storylines, and have admitted this to shareholders.

The inflated figures are part of the show, creating an aura of grandeur and success. WWE's narrative is all about being the biggest and the best, and what's a few thousand extra fans in the grand scheme of things?

A big lie that legends and celebrities are carted out to announce every year.

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
