10 Life Lessons From John Cena Every Man Must Follow

6. Always Fight To The Top (Even When You€™re On Top)

The one thing that can be said for John Cena is that he grabbed that brass ring a decade ago and hasn€™t released it since. He has been top of the card for so long that it€™s almost like he€™s taken the card, ripped it up and replaced it with a John Cena Top Trumps Card that has all his abilities ranked at 101%. When we€™re down in our lives, sometimes we€™ve got to drag your ourselves up. As we lie in the gutter, staring at the stars, we remember that speech from Rocky Balboa, €œIt ain€™t how hard you hit, it€™s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward€. John has certainly taken that advice from The Italian Stallion as even when he€™s down, he€™s up. Remember his awful year of 2012? The worst of his career? That loss to The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII sent him on a downward spiral like we€™d never seen. He lost momentum. His lost his mojo. He lost every match he competed in during the next twelve months. It was unbelievable. A broken man who, just like us, need to drag himself back up to greatness. He turned to drink. Drugs. Loose Women (the programme, that is). Only, in actual fact, he had a cracking year. He immediately defeated a returning Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules. He then won The Money in the Bank ladder match and headlined RAW 1000. Also, he won the Royal Rumble to the surprise of no-one. He then defeated The Rock at WrestleMania 29 to win back the WWE Championship for the eleventh time. His overall winning percentage for 2012 was 89.1% which beat the previous six years and also this current year. It was one of his best years ever for win/loss/draw stats. John Cena, even when he€™s losing, he€™s winning.
