10 Life Lessons From John Cena Every Man Must Follow

3. Word Life!

John Cena might not use this mantra much anymore but he certainly still lives by it. Coming from an 1980€™s Latin American slang term meaning €˜I swear to you on my life what I€™m telling you is true€™. It was then taken up by rappers to mean €˜I promise€™. You look at John, and he means both those things. Look into his eyes and you see the fire and tenacity of a man who promises to look after you before snogging your girlfriend and watching you get pushed off a stage in a wheelchair (Yep. Went there again). This phrase is so important to John that his debut album bore the mantra. Even his entrance theme for a number of years was the song he rapped himself. The actual lyrics to the song can help almost any of us through our maudlin jobs as we try and better ourselves. Lyrics such as €˜We dominate your conference with offense€™. Remember that when Bernard in accounting is trying to cut your 2015/2016 budgets. WORD LIFE! Or, €˜We untouchable like righteous sluts with no crevasses€™. Not quite sure when it€™s best to use that one but we€™re sure the ladies will love it as a chat up line. WORD LIFE! Then there is the immortal, €˜The crowd is dead like intermission€™ which John feels every time he faces Randy Orton in the ring. WORD LIFE! Seriously, Word Life, it€™s the Basic Thuganomics (whatever the hell that means).
