9. He Was Ring Of Honor's First Head Trainer

CM Punk leaves ROH The Ring of Honor promotion has grown in recent years but hardcore fans have known about it since the mid-2000s when the territory was putting on some of the best wrestling matches in North America. Workers like Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, and Evan Bourne all either got their start or passed through Ring of Honor at some point in their careers. CM Punk joined the promotion in the early 2000s, entering into a rivalry with Raven that pitted Raven's well-known substance abuse issues against Punk's Straight Edge lifestyle. The feud was extremely popular among Ring of Honor fans and helped Punk climb the ranks of ROH to a main event slot. During this time, Punk was also named the head trainer of Ring of Honor's wrestling school, the "ROH Wrestling Academy" in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Punk had previously been the head trainer of Steel Dominion wrestling and Primetime Wrestling.
