Controversial star Trey Miguel sensationally returned to TNA television during Thursday's edition of Impact on new home AMC. This is just the latest chapter in an explosive saga that saw Miguel hired them fired within days by AEW - reports quickly surfaced that the decision to cut Trey loose had been taken by someone above Tony Khan's head.

Both Fightful Select and The Wrestling Observer claimed that somebody at Warner Bros Discovery had actually made the call due to past social media posts from Miguel. That left a lot of wrestling fans scratching their heads, with some wondering aloud whether or not Khan actually has control of his own company.

Now, the plot has thickened.

The Observer is reporting that Trey has inked fresh terms with TNA. On Impact, he made a shock appearance and hauled down one of the briefcases in a 'Feast Or Fired' match. Inside will either be a crack at the TNA World Title, International Title, the Tag-Team Titles or a pink slip that'll see his new contract get kayfabe terminated.

Top trolling points incoming if it's the latter and TNA runs with that story.

Seriously though, this perhaps draws a line under one highly confusing time for the wrestler. Trey was initially supposed to show up on AEW programming as part of The Rascalz alongside pals like Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier and Myron Reed, but he was let go by All Elite/WBD management before he could even made his debut on TV.

TNA are rightly making a ton of noise about Miguel's swift comeback.
