10 Little Known Things You Didn’t Know About William Regal
10. He Worked As A Bricklayer In His Teens
In 1984, after growing up watching British wrestling on World of Sport he left school a the age of 16 to become a pro wrestler. He had watched - and admired - wrestlers like Mick McManus, Big Daddy, Jim Breaks and Marc 'Rollerball' Rocco - with his grandfather since the age of 5 and had decided to take the plunge in the Las Vegas of England - Blackpool! But there was one little problem - he needed some money to set himself up. To do this, he got a job - for a few weeks - as a bricklayer working for his father on the building site and from June 1984 dove headfirst into the wrestling industry. So I guess he is a man. He's a man. He's a man - a real man's man. Sorry buddy, couldn't resist!
I am a teacher, but also write about all things wrestling. I have been writing/interviewing wrestling personalities for over 7 years for both the Wrestling Observer site, as well as The History Of WWE site.
