The Biggest British Wrestling Show In 34 Years!

It was the biggest show in British Wrestling since 1981, over 30 years in the making. Insane Championship Wrestling held their first Fear and Loathing show in Maryhill Community Centre in Glasgow, Scotland in 2006 with just 60 people in attendance to watch the young upstart company and see what they had to offer the wrestling world.

Fast forward nine years and Fear And Loathing VIII was held at the sold out SECC in front of four thousand rabid wrestling fans. You could see the emotion in the faces of the owner Mark Dallas, the performers, the fans and the crew. The hard work had paid off and they had done the unthinkable and held the biggest wrestling event promoted by a British company since the days of Big Daddy.

I first encountered the Insane wresting outfit back in 2011 in a small nightclub (Apollo 23) in Glasgow€™s City Centre. There were maybe a hundred fans at the show but I remember on that first night feeling that this could be something special. It had so much more of an atmosphere and an aura than your average indy wrestling event.

With two BBC documentaries, newspaper features and successful UK tours under their belt, November 15th 2015 was the biggest night in ICW€™s history thus far. I was fortunate enough to attend the show in one of Scotland's most historic venus. These are the main observations I made from this monumental evening...
