10 Live Observations From ICW's Fear And Loathing VIII

2. Foley Is Good

When Drew Galloway turned up in ICW last summer, it was a huge moment in Scottish wrestling. It was the first time that a star who had left and found success in the States was coming back to work regularly in their own promotion. The week after the event when the footage surfaced online, Mick Foley posted it on his social media accounts, praising ICW.

Fast forward to this past summer and Mark Dallas made the announcement that the special guest Commissioner for Fear And Loathing would be Foley himself.

The Hardcore Legend came out to a thunderous ovation and gave a great speech about how after all he€™s done in wrestling, being part of something this special makes him remember why he loves the wrestling business. He went on to drop a rare Foley F-Bomb and promised a great show.

Mrs Foley€™s Baby Boy would also come out at the end of the night and get physical with the heel GM, Red Lightning, knocking him down with a right hand before forcing Mr. Socko down his gullet.

Foley promoted the show on social media, he shared articles about ICW€™s originality and innovations in promoting independent wrestling and he came out and made the show feel like a mega event on the night. Mick Foley didn€™t have to do all that.

But he did, reinforcing what we€™ve known all along...

Foley Is Good.
