10 Live Observations From ICW's Fear And Loathing VIII
5. ICW Fans Are Rabid
Naturally, when youre about to attend a full night of wrestling action, theres nothing wrong with grabbing a quick alcoholic beverage before you go to the venue. On the way from the pub to the arena, I encountered thousands of ICW fans and while some were hardcore and some were casual, the majority of them were all absolutely rabid.
Every thirty seconds there would be resounding chants from hundreds of fans screaming IC-DUB or random shouting for Grado or the New Age Kliq.
Once we got into the venue, it felt like thousands of people had been telling their friends about ICW and it felt more like a way of life to these people than just a singular event. There are fans who share beers with the performers, they give them car rides to different towns or help them out with producing the graphics, anything they can do to help the ICW brand.
Having recently attended a WWE show in Glasgow, the audience were happy to be there but they never really felt connected to the show, whereas at Fear And Loathing the audience were definitely part of the show. The company listens to them and try to include them in any way they can.
When you see what ICW do to include their fans and make them happy, can you blame them for being so maniacal in their fandom?
