10 Live Observations From NXT TakeOver: Dallas

1. The Crowd Was Amazing

I've been to a lot of wrestling shows in my life, but I can honestly say that I've never been in a crowd as hot as the one that saw TakeOver: Dallas. It's not too surprising - while Raw tapings and even Pay-Per-Views are often hurt by apathetic casual fans, TakeOver: Dallas tickets were so hard to come by that there wasn't a casual fan in the house. The audience members were either lucky enough to have grabbed tickets in the moments between their going on sale and selling out, or they paid hundreds of dollars on the secondary market.

As such, the rabid audience maintained a high level of energy throughout the show. American Alpha and Shinsuke Nakamura got the best reactions, but Austin Aries, Bayley, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe also got enthusiastic cheers. The crowd was largely respectful, too - a "Both these girls" chant during the Bayley-Asuka match quickly died out and was replaced by a loud "Both these women" chant.

A crowd goes a long way toward making a show, and the fans at NXT TakeOver: Dallas joined forces with the wrestlers to make it an unforgettable event.
