10 Live Observations From Attending WrestleMania 32
1. Not The Fans' Night
Finally, there came the main event between Triple H and Roman Reigns. As fans expected, Reigns picked up a clean win to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and as they feared, he remained a babyface through the close of the show. I'm not sure exactly when WrestleMania went off the air, but following the official end, Triple H got to his feet and posed to his music in an attempt to placate fans who were earlier chanting "Bullsh*t!"
I've spent a lot of time talking about how WWE's current business model doesn't incentivize actually entertaining or pleasing the fans, and that was on full display here. The only fan-favored superstars who picked up victories were Zack Ryder and The Rock. In other matches, Chris Jericho, The League of Nations, Brock Lesnar, Charlotte, and Baron Corbin were victorious. In the main events, The Undertaker and Roman Reigns were technically babyfaces, but circumstances ensured that their opponents were the preferred victors.
A lot of fans left AT&T Stadium unhappy, and undoubtedly many of the million-plus watching on the WWE Network felt the same way. WWE could have done something about that, but they chose not to - and even if they don't feel the ramifications of that now, eventually they will.
