10 Live Observations From WWE Extreme Rules 2016
8. The Club Saved A Bit Of Face
Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows debuted on Raw with a bang, but lately, sailing hasn't been so smooth. The tandem has lost many of their recent matches, including a high-profile bout against The Usos on last week's Raw. They've also been treated as little more than AJ Styles's flunkies, and are repeatedly manhandled by Roman Reigns on his own.
The Club was given an opportunity at a bit of retribution at Extreme Rules, where they were booked in a tornado tag match against The Usos. The crowd was firmly behind Anderson and Gallows, with the association between Reigns and his cousins having hurt their popularity. The match itself was nothing special, but the fans were pro-Club to the point where it was a heated affair.
Thankfully, Anderson and Gallows picked up the win, scoring a pinfall after their Magic Killer finisher. They were treated like pushed stars and re-established as a force in the tag team division - at least until the main event, anyway.
