10 Longest Active UFC Streaks
3. Tony Ferguson - 12
Right, the UFC streaks are about to start getting ridiculous.
The Lightweight division's current number one contender Tony Ferguson has been whooping *ss in the Octagon ever since his arrival on the scene as part of the 13th season of The Ultimate Fighter in 2011.
Yet, his momentum was derailed ever so slightly with a loss to Michael Johnson at UFC on Fox 3 and Ferguson had to go back to the drawing board. He also spent a year recovering from an arm injury suffered in that fight.
He returned with a submission (D'Arce choke) win over Mike Rio at UFC 166 and the start of a chaotic and commanding run had just begun.
11 more came and 11 more failed to find a way to conquer 'El Cucuy', with the likes of Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, Kevin Lee, Rafael dos Anjos and Edson Barboza not doing enough to best the former Interim Lightweight Champion on the night.
How Ferguson has managed to amass this kind of record without becoming the undisputed Lightweight Champion is quite simply astounding.
That being said, he will finally get the chance to claim the undisputed top prize in the division when he takes on Khabib Nurmagomedov for the belt at...whatever UFC event it takes place at - your guess is as good as mine at this point.
Speaking of which...
