10 Longest Gaps Between WWE Title Defences

Daniel Bryan has always been considered a fighting champion. His willingness to defend the ROH World Championship made him one of the great holders of that prestigious title. Bryan's popularity in WWE came somewhat from his willingness to take on all comers at all times.

It is somewhat curious then that his first singles championship reign in WWE was so immensely underwhelming. Daniel Bryan ended The Miz's second United States Championship reign at Night of Champions in September 2010. A month later DBry defended the title in an excellent triple threat submissions match, overcoming the dual challenge of The Miz and John Morrison.

And that was pretty much that. Bryan defeated Ted DiBiase in November 2010, but never successfully defended the championship on television or pay-per-view again. Sheamus was the man to dethrone him, pinning Bryan 113 days after the American Dragon had last defended the title.

Bryan had defended against Ted DiBiase at Elimination Chamber 2011, but the match was dark. Therefore, it doesn't count!
