10 Longest Reigning WCW Television Champions

6. Rick Steiner - 127 Days

Everyone's second favourite Steiner Brother, Rick Steiner had three TV title reigns in WCW. The first came out of an excellent story with his Varsity Club stable mates Mike Rotunda and Kevin Sullivan in 1988. His second reign was his longest however, coming over ten years later as WCW began its slow and painful circling of the drain. Slamboree 1999 was the event, and Steiner challenged Booker T for the title. Interestingly enough, Booker had taken the title from Rick's brother, Big Poppa Pump himself, Scott Steiner. A little bit of side information, Slamboree 1999 featured Charles Robinson taking part in a match against Randy Savage's valet Gorgeous George, a match which lasted over 10 minutes. Oh, WCW, you so silly.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
