10 Longest Reigning WCW Television Champions

7. Johnny B. Badd - 112 Days (111 Days)

The man who would be known as the 'Wildman' Marc Mero in WWE (as well as the first guy I saw perform a Shooting Star Press) was known as Johnny B. Badd in WCW, a flamboyant so and so with something of a vicious side. His run in WCW would be fairly unremarkable, his only championship success coming in the shape of three runs with the WCW Television title. The first of these lasted 112 days, starting at Fall Brawl in 1994 with a victory over Lord Steven Regal and ending at the hands of Arn Anderson on WCW Main Event in February 1995. More on both of those gentlemen later...

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
