7. Sting - 134 Days
Sting was the great babyface of World Championship Wrestling, the hero who stayed on the side of good no matter how many times Lex Luger turned on him or how many of his peers joined up with the nWo. It is of little surprise then that his longest reign clocked in at only 134 days. It was also his first reign, of six in total. It began in 1992, as the then-bleached blonde defeated Lex Luger for the title at SuperBrawl II. Big Van Vader would be the man to take the title from Sting, and the battles between the heroic Stinger and the massive, violent bear that was Big Van Vader would become the stuff of legend. One piece of evidence for the devaluation of title reigns over the years is that this first reign of Stings would last longer than his five other reigns, combined.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
