In fairness to Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne, better known as Air Boom, they at least did try to give the impression of being a tag team.

Two singles competitors with little to do, they came together and experienced success in 2011 by creating tag team offence, wearing matching gear and taking to Twitter to choose a team name. Air Boom was the winner, and needless to say Twitter didn't give many other acceptable options (Airborne Paradise? New Aira? Bourne to Boom?).

The two were linked from the beginning actually, with Shelton Benjamin powerbombing Bourne into Kingston (who was on commentary) in Bourne's debut match. This led to a tag match between what would become Air Boom and Shelton & Mike Knox, but it would be another three years until they were a full-time partnership.

The duo won the tag titles on RAW in August 2011, defeating the legendary duo of Michael McGillicutty (Curtis Axel) & David Otunga for the belts. 146 days later (including 30 days lost when Bourne was suspended), they dropped the titles to Primo & Epico at a house show in Oakland, California.
