10 Longest Women's Championship Reigns In WWE History

5. Alundra Blayze

Championship Held €“ Women€™sLength of Longest Reign €“ 342 Days At the time when Alundra Blayze first arrived into the WWE from WCW in 1993, the Women€™s Championship had been deactivated for nearly three years. Almost immediately following Blayze€™s arrival, a six-woman tournament was set up to determine a new champion. Blayze won this tournament defeating Heidi Lee Morgan in the final on December 13, 1993, on an episode of All American Wrestling. This was the first of three Women€™s Championship reigns for Blayze and it was also the longest, lasting just slightly less a year. Her reign ended when she lost the title to Japanese Superstar, Bull Nakano, in November 1994, at the bizarrely named €œBig Egg Wrestling Universe€ event, which took place in Nakano€™s home nation of Japan. Despite having this remarkably long title reign, it unfortunately isn€™t the moment that Blayze€™s career will probably be remembered for. This moment instead came at the end of her 3rd title run when, having left the WWE to sign with WCW, she brought her Women€™s Championship belt with her to an episode of Nitro in December 1995, and dropped the title belt in a trash can. This is regarded as one of the most bitter moments in the feud between WWE and WCW during the Monday Night Wars and it was a moment which saw Blayze blacklisted by the WWE right up until earlier this year, when she was finally forgiven and inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2015.
