10 Longest WWE Cruiserweight Championship Reigns Ever

1. Gregory Helms - 385 Days

Shane Helms Cruiserweight Champion
WWE

Yes, you read that right. Gregory Helms' record 385-day reign as Cruiserweight Champion is more than 200 days longer than the next best. His reign is also the longest title reign of any kind in SmackDown history. Impressive.

He won the belt in a multi-man match at the 2006 Royal Rumble, and would go on to lose it 385 days later in a similar bout. During his reign Helms defeated pretty much every challenger put forward (including all of the challengers in one match), proving himself to be the most dominant Cruiserweight Champion of all time,

Helms also competed against many people outside the division during his reign, trading victories with Matt Hardy and putting in impressive performances against Lashley, Chris Benoit and others. It was that rarest of occasions, a cruiserweight being booked on the same competitive level as bigger superstars.

Even if the belt were to miraculously return from Parts Unknown, it is a stretch and a half to imagine anyone holding it for longer than Helms' 385 days.
