10 Longest WWE Hardcore Title Reigns Ever

2. Al Snow - 91 Days

Al Snow again at number two, with a reign that lasted 91 days from April 25th 1999 until July 25th 1999. Snow won the title by defeating Hardcore Holly at Backlash. This being the Hardcore Title it didn't begin in the most standard of ways, and Snow actually claimed that Head was the champion as it was the mannequin skull that Snow draped over Holly to claim the pinfall after a brawl that involved the two in a dumpster.

As this was before the days of 24/7 title defences, Snow would defend the belt in one-on-one competition until his eternal rival, The Big Boss Man defeated him for it at Fully Loaded in July. The two would feud for what felt like the entirety of 1999, and most of it surrounded either the Hardcore Championship or Al Snow's beloved dog, Pepper. Boss Man would eventually trick Snow into eating Pepper, which goes to show you just how ridiculous the Attitude Era was. I don't miss it.

Either way, Snow's 91-day reign is the second longest of all time, which shows how short these title reigns were. Who do we have at number one?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
