10 Lucha Underground Stars Who Could Shake Up WWE

7. Rey Mysterio Jr.

While Rey’s last couple of years in WWE were pretty lousy, he is still one of the top babyfaces the company has ever had. If he came back on a part-time basis to compete in some big matches, he could still create quite a bit of interest. Kalisto isn’t catching on as the high-flying face the company had hoped for, and Sin Cara’s push as Mysterio’s successor was an outright flop.

Rey has been known to be highly injury prone, so a reduced schedule would be in everyone’s best interest. Since he's moved on from WWE, he looks to be in better in-ring shape than he has been in years, and he's even regained some of his old speed. Dream matches await his return with Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Finn Balor all providing exciting possibilities.

Rey is bound to be in the WWE Hall of fame someday, the only question is if he’ll return before he hangs up the mask to wrestle for them once more.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
