Kurt Angle may be one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, but his battle-worn body has guaranteed he'll never work a full schedule for WWE ever again.

His joy at being back amongst the action as Monday Night Raw's General Manager is clear for everybody to see, but WWE's increasingly rigorous health checks have put the blockers on him engaging physically to any significant degree with the company.

Despite the reduced schedule he was able to work during his lengthy TNA run between 2006 and 2016, a lifetime of physical activity and a relentless in-ring style during his several years of going full pelt with WWE has significantly weakened the Gold Medallist, and the risk of serious injury to Kurt is simply one the company does not need to take.

Furthermore, Angle has been very public about his addiction issues and his battle to remain clean of all drugs and alcohol. The demands of the trade during his prime years steered the Olympian to those vices in the first place, and a similar schedule nearly 20 years later would only risk a similar slip.
