10 Ludicrous Things In Wrestling We’ll Tragically Never See

2. Eva Marie, Women's Champion

Since failing a Wellness Test last August, Eva Marie hasn't appeared on television and will allegedly cease working for WWE at the conclusion of her current contract.

Whilst never the most talented in the ring or on the microphone, her limitations became a conductor of visceral hatred from almost the entirety of a more switched-on WWE fanbase when she debuted in 2013.

In keeping with her heelish persona on the company's scripted reality show Total Divas, she was obnoxious in the extreme despite her vast inexperience, and was the last (and possible greatest) example of WWE's female hiring policy for much of the previous decade.

The highlight of her run came during a spell in NXT. Ordinarily, a performer with as much need for seasoning as Eva would be well served on the developmental brand, but it was an alternate universe for women's wrestling when she arrived.

The NXT audience had watched the Four Horsewomen and others advance the company's female matches tenfold, and Eva Marie represented a loathed relic of the recent past. A title match against the beloved Bayley on the November 18th 2015 edition of NXT TV is one of the company's most entertaining matches of the year, if not as technically sound as the usual fare.

A genuinely despised heel in the era of Kevin Owens' wink and a nudge 'bad guy', that her proposed undeserving titleholder run will never materialise is a genuine disappointment.
