10 Ludicrous Things In Wrestling We’ll Tragically Never See

When Charlotte defeated Natalya at NXT TakeOver for the vacant Women's Title in May 2014, she was seconded by her father in a then-rare appearance from the 'Nature Boy' at her side.

It was something the company didn't feel a need to exploit beyond reason in NXT, but 'Slick Ric' became a vital part of her solo WWE introduction after the muddled early days of the 'Divas Revolution' lumped her in to a vapid trio alongside Paige and Becky Lynch.

Aiding her heel turn with his endless interference, he placed her on a pedestal at every opportunity, elevating her both as a father, a fan, and one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time.

Binning him off to really solidify herself as a heel last summer, Charlotte has flourished in the aftermath, but it's likely the two will be featured on television together should her career continue to prosper.

What's more of a shame is the fact that the pair will never wrestle together on television. Despite his embarrassing TNA run, WWE have been steadfast in honouring his WrestleMania 24 retirement, and will hardly be enthused by him adorning tights again nearly a decade later.

Charlotte and Ric in a mixed tag could have been something as daft as it was profound, but their generational divide ultimately rendered it an impossible dream.
