10 Major Booking Mistakes WWE Has Already Made With WrestleMania 36
9. A Match That Only Exists To Boost NXT Ratings
Last year, WWE was able to turn the tide against All Elite Wrestling as the build to Survivor Series resulted in NXT pulling ahead of Dynamite in terms of viewership. That didn't last long, though, and in a transparent bid to take down the competition, Charlotte Flair is set to challenge NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
While it may have helped to at least some extent, The Queen being on Wednesday nights hasn't helped NXT top Dynamite, and we're now left with a bout we actually saw on SmackDown last year (albeit with Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat match).
The stakes for this one feel beyond low; if Flair wins, she'll probably spend a month or two on NXT, but there's no way that will be the permanent status quo for one of RAW's biggest female stars. If Ripley picks up the win, she'll get bragging rights for a while, but it's unlikely to change her career in a meaningful way, so what's there to get invested in here?
