10 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made In 2014

6. Giving Up On Cesaro

WWE desperately needs new stars. But if you€™re not in The Authority or feuding with them, then you€™re not protected. But why is WWE so absolutely terrified of giving anyone a serious push? Would it have killed the company to let Cesaro continue his momentum following his WrestleMania win? Instead it felt like they couldn€™t wait to have him job out. The Cesaro Swing was getting over, so what did WWE do? Took it away. His pairing with Paul Heyman wasn€™t quite clicking, but instead of giving him any promo time to put the duo over they split them up. Any dream matches of Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar seem laughable now. Cesaro has lost 10 straight chances for either the Intercontinental or US Title. Fans remember that. It€™s hard to erase one man failing time and time again. But Cesaro is great in the ring. He€™s had believable, hard hitting matches with Sheamus, Cena and Bryan. He€™s well spoken, is fluent in variety of languages, he also seems like a legitimate badass. WWE doesn€™t want to invest in him, though. It just doesn't make sense. The fans were ready a few months ago to support him and WWE wasn€™t. The next time (if it ever happens) that the company wants us to take him seriously, it will only be that much harder.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
