While WWE has about 60 television stars of their own under contract, they still seem to be star struck anytime a C-list reality star or country singer wants to show up on one their shows. Yes, theyve had great success at times in the past with appearances and angles with Muhammad Ali, Mr. T, and Mike Tyson. Other times a star like Hugh Jackman wants to promote his movie and pop in on Raw. Due to the size of his star power, its understandable why WWE puts him on TV. However, fans greatly grew sick of the constant guest GMs a couple of years ago. We didnt need Florence Henderson, Dennis Miller or Verne Troyer featured on their show. WWE stars should be pushed as more popular than them anyway. WWE either got tired of the gimmick, or ran out of third rate celebrities to book. This year its been a disturbing trend of WWE booking guests that are only going to turn off wrestling fans. Jerry Springer, Flo Rida, Kathy Lee Gifford, Todd Chrisley, Hoda and NeNe have all been given TV time for no good reason. Seriously, who on the entire planet ever wanted to see Kathy Lee Gifford hit Hoda over the ass with a wine bottle? That act alone had to have turned off some fans for a lifetime.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
