10 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made In 2015

6. Not Re-Signing Kurt Angle For His Retirement Lap

The news made all the headlines last year: in September 2014, Kurt Angle€™s contract with TNA was coming to an end, and he€™d specifically put out feelers with WWE, hoping to agree a one year, €˜lap of honour€™ kind of deal with them to end his career where it began. However, to hear Angle€™s side of it, he didn€™t even get a meeting: he was told that Triple H is in charge of hiring at present, and wouldn€™t see him. Angle resigned with TNA for a year instead€ well, now that year is up, and Angle€™s not resigning with them. He€™s not going with WWE either though, insisting that although he€™s €œclose to 100% healthy€ he€™ll be taking a sabbatical from wrestling for a while. Kurt Angle is one of the most decorated and naturally talented professional wrestlers in history. The circumstances of his exit from WWE in 2006 were awkward €“ we€™ve been through it in a fair amount of detail €“ but not explosive or controversial, and the fact that Vince McMahon saw to it personally and face to face says a lot for how highly Angle was regarded. A last year in WWE would not only deliver some astonishing storylines and matches €“ Kurt€™s always been able to talk, and can still go in the ring better than most men a quarter of a century younger than him €“ but could also lead to a Hall Of Fame induction and some valuable experience backstage for the younger performers coming through. It€™s still possible that he will end up with WWE again, or that he€™s working everyone, intending to make a surprise appearance on WWE programming€ but if not, the company have seriously dropped the ball here.
