10 Major Mistakes WWE Has Made In 2015

5. Mangling Dolph Ziggler And Lana

Everything that made Lana get over as a character on WWE television has been changed or ripped out since they turned her babyface, split her from Rusev and paired her with the eighties cock rock version of Dolph Ziggler. She€™s gone from a strong, capable no-nonsense woman, the senior partner in charge of a fearsome, brutal WWE competitor€ to the junior partner in a revoltingly unconvincing relationship with an utter douchecanoe of a man. The Rusev/Ziggler/Lana/Summer angle has gone on for several decades longer than anyone wanted it to, and Ziggler and Lana have shown all the enthusiasm and chemistry of soggy cake. In the meantime, Rusev has clearly seized the initiative to develop his method acting chops, delivering career best performances on the stick. It€™s just a shame that the angle doesn€™t deserve his hard work. All of the babyface heat that Ziggler had earned over his career to date is pretty much gone now: and Lana €“ who used to be over like clover as the fiercely independent €˜ravishing Russian€™ €“ is now just another simpering valet, with the usual anger management issues and inability to let a grudge slide that tend to characterise WWE babyfaces. So much of this senseless, punishing feud has been down to bad casting and worse writing that it€™s difficult to know where to begin. From all appearance, this one storyline has actually harmed the careers of Ziggler and Lana, both of whom will need serious rehabilitation to get anything close to their previous popularity.
