The addition of the League of Nations stable to Sheamus' championship reign has given it an extra edge on television. The decision to surround the champ with three of the most imposing performers on the roster has allowed Sheamus to flourish as a gloating heel who knows he always holds a pair of aces in his hand. The League definitely made their presence felt at TLC, with their interference late in Sheamus' match with Roman Reigns allowing the challenger to be overwhelmed for long enough that the champion could scale the ladder and retrieve his title. It was a wise creative move to keep the belt on Sheamus and maintain the threat of the League of Nations at his side. Sheamus as champion on his own is a rather dull proposition, but he excels as the head of a faction that includes a trio of top heels. It will be interesting to see where WWE takes Sheamus' reign at the top of the company now that Roman Reigns would appear to be moving into more of a rivalry with Triple H.
