The main TLC card opened in wild fashion with a brutal and often completely insane triple threat ladder match involving a trio of tag teams vying for the Tag Team Championship. Heel champions New Day put their belts on the line against The Usos and Lucha Dragons, seemingly outnumbered by the high-flying babyfaces. The action rarely took place on the mat, with all six men involved in the contest frequently bringing the metal furniture to the forefront in an attempt to incapacitate their opponents. It was a hugely entertaining match, which did more to put over the value of the copper belts than just about anything WWE Creative has constructed this year. These performers put their bodies on the line in just about every way, risking it all for a chance to win the titles. By the time Kalisto nailed Jey Uso with a crazy Salida Del Sol off the top of one ladder, through another one positioned across the bottom rope, the match had cemented itself as arguably the best tag team bout of the year. WWE would be wise to capitalise on this momentum in the tag team division by pushing the Lucha Dragons as the next major competitor for the belts held by New Day. Kalisto has the potential to be a star and there is now a believable story to tell regarding how much the masked duo covets the tag team titles. Actions, in this case, spoke a great deal louder than words.
