8. Thinning Tag Team Divisions

2017 could be the year that tag teams face extinction: Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, Enzo and Cass, Golden Truth, Vaudevillains, DIY, and American Alpha have all split up. With the brand extension slicing the tag team division in half, fans have been forced to watch the same matchups week after week. Raw rotates the Tag Team Titles between the Hardyz and Shesaro, and SmackDown has been running with New Day battling the Usos.

The rest of the division includes Breezango, who primarily deal in comedy skits; Gallows and Anderson, who have been irrelevant since The Club split; the Revival, who have been injured since joining the main roster; Hype Bros, who are ready to break up any day now; and the Ascension and Colons, a double whopping of jobbers.

Whether it’s calling up more teams from NXT or pairing the cruiserweights together, WWE officials need to supplement its thinning tag team division.
