Elimination Chamber 2013 could've been a dark day in WWE history.

There, the company planned to have The Shield do the honours for John Cena, Ryback and Sheamus in a totally unnecessary six-man tag match. The whole thing was supposed to give some ill-needed hype for Cena's match with The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII, but Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose weren't keen.

Who can blame them? They'd only been on the main roster since Survivor Series 2012 and (a mere four months into their run) were being jobbed out so WWE could push another match. It was hardly a great spot to be in, so The Shield used their strength in numbers to ensure they didn't lose any face.

Months later, Rollins and Reigns had to put the foot down once more when they were asked to work the MITB 2013 pre-show against The Usos. That lowly spot p*ssed the team off to the point they promised they'd never be there again.
