3. Bret Hart

In his book, Bret Hart made no secret of his contempt for what happened at WrestleMania IX. Despite being WWF Champion going in, Hart lost the belt to Yokozuna (which he claims he had no problem doing) and then watched as a returning Hulk Hogan romped out to save the day and somehow end up champ himself.

Then, Bret was left fuming when any plans for a match between he and Hulk at SummerSlam were cancelled and Hogan dropped the title back to Yoko. None of this made any sense to Hart. He'd been working his butt off as champion, and thought he was flying the flag for a new breed of titleholder in the WWF.

McMahon, meanwhile, couldn't resist some of that old Hogan magic.

Bret would get the title back at 'Mania X, but not before being dismayed by Vince's reliance on 'Hulkamania' when he figured that era had past. The double title change in Las Vegas also did nothing for him, and it made Hart question his efforts.
