10 Major WWE Superstars That Hated Shawn Michaels

5. Shane Douglas

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNDZSodPA-I Shane Douglas has a lot of accolades in the wrestling business. Most of his accomplishments, however, came during his time as €œThe Franchise€ in ECW -- including being the first ECW World Champion. He would later go on to have an arguably good run with WCW during its dying years. However, Shane never quite clicked in the world of WWE. He was saddled with the lackluster gimmick of Dean Douglas and swiftly retreated back to the land of Extreme. More than accomplishments, Shane has racked up numerous rivalries during his years in wrestling. Most famously, Shane has held ill will toward Ric Flair, because he perceived that Flair held him down during his time in World Championship Wrestling. Beyond Flair, Douglas has never been quiet about his animosity toward Shawn Michaels and the so-called Kliq. Shane has claimed on numerous occasions that he felt Michaels was disrespectful, self-centered, and just generally, a jerk. The Franchise claims that during a tour of Germany with the Federation, Shawn mouthed off to the locker room that he planned on €œembarrassing€ Shane when they met at 1995€™s In Your House 4 pay-per-view. Douglas claims that he told Davey Boy Smith he was going to stretch HBK if he tried anything, and that shortly after, the match was changed. Famously, Michaels forfeited the Intercontinental Championship to Dean Douglas, only for Douglas to lose it immediately to fellow Kliq member, Razor Ramon -- an undoubted example of the Kliq€™s backstage influence. It seems that Shane Douglas has made nearly as many enemies in the wrestling business as Shawn Michaels. However, it€™s hard to argue with Shane€™s point that HBK and the Kliq often went into business for themselves, and would go to any length necessary to stay on top.
