10 Major WWE Superstars That Hated Shawn Michaels

3. Hulk Hogan

Shawn Michaels is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the history of WWE. However, he cannot lay claim to being the biggest of all time. That distinction arguably belongs to Hulk Hogan -- although a case could be made for Steve Austin, The Rock, and John Cena. Hogan and Michaels never competed during Hogan€™s prime, as the Hulkster was on his way out of the Federation when Shawn began his ascension to the top. Years later, after both superstars made separate comebacks, the two legendary stars faced off at SummerSlam 2005. The match was billed as €œIcon vs. Legend€ and would see Hogan come out on top. Although, things weren€™t as smooth as they seemed. Reportedly, HBK was under the impression that the two would face off in a respectable contest to determine who the better man was. The Hulkster, however, had a different idea wherein he wanted Michaels to play the dastardly heel that Hogan could triumph. The match was a flop as Michaels took it upon himself to air his grievances live on pay-per-view. The Heartbreak Kid spent the entire contest overselling and flopping around like a goof. No one could take the bout seriously, and as such, Shawn€™s antics damaged the match. The next night on Raw, Michaels cut a sarcastic promo where he congratulated Hogan on his victory. The Hulkster reportedly took offense to Michaels€™ comments, antics, and actions. Supposedly, the feud was originally meant to continue with another two matches, but Hogan called things off after feeling slighted by Michaels.
