10 Match Star Ratings For WWE Super ShowDown 2020

8. The New Day Vs. The Miz & John Morrison - SmackDown Tag Team Title Match

Fiend Goldberg

The sole, earnestly good thing on this entire sh*t-show, this match was fun, over, and almost stupidly committed.

Under the opulent and ugly bright lights - this show looked so stunning that they should replace the idiom "polish a turd" with "Super ShowDown" - Big E entertained the crowd by slapping John Morrison's ass, which unfortunately summoned Michael Cole to tell us that Big E does, in fact, like to have fun out there. Vince McMahon is essentially GOB Bluth telling everybody to dance now, expect he hasn't been funny since 2007.

Morrison in begging off showed as much personality as he did athleticism later in the match, in what was a very successful night for him. It was supporting evidence in his box of Schrödinger's star power that he got over in a land in which nobody gets over who isn't a grotesque, prehistoric, blood-money-hungry parody of their 1990s self.

Structurally and in terms of its pace, this wasn't remarkable, or anything, but Kofi Kingston in particular entered a very hard-working and super-professional performance to put over both the next Champions and the idea that he wasn't going to lose without first breaking his back.

Star Rating: ★★★
