10 Match Star Ratings For WWE Super ShowDown 2020
7. Angel Garza Vs. Humberto Carrillo
There's really not a lot to say.
Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo worked a perfectly serviceable wrestling match with a real sense of working craft but nobody cared about it, they knew nobody was going to care about it, and consequently held back the banger in the chamber. There's an enervated quality to these Saudi Arabia matches that conspires to be even more dull than hour-two Monday Night RAW fare. This was a sequel to a far better, energetic and intense RAW match, from this very week, and didn't need to exist.
Still, Angel's Garza's face is just so wonderful to look at it. He turns all of us into Marlon Brando voicing Truckasaurus. They lunged at one another at the opening bell, holding nothing back in their strikes, trusting their sense of craft and chemistry to evade, and Garza being so excellent has this rare, ultra-valuable knack of projecting real animosity to whichever opponent he faces. It was just weird, as many of these matches are. You know it can be better - it was better four days ago - but there was a languid and meh quality to it.
There's really not a lot to say.
