10 Match Star Ratings For WWE Survivor Series 2019

8. KICKOFF: The New Day Vs. The Undisputed Era Vs. The Viking Raiders

Unlike every WWE Triple Threat tag team match ever, BRAND WARFARE necessitated a confusing change in rules: Big E, Ivar and Bobby Fish started the match as a pseudo-singles Triple Threat, as if WWE hadn't promoted enough of those this weekend.

Big E and Ivar entered into a hoss battle almost immediately, and it was great, full of awe and suspense, before Fish and Kyle O'Reilly cut it off to get the heat. The action crept into higher gear at a pace that didn't enrapture the crowd, but by the finish, the Viking Raiders showed their impressive form as Actual Main Roster Success Stories with an awesome aerial tweak on their men throwing men at other men spot.

The main roster tag team style is the oddest thing. The performers involved in them are almost immaterial. The quality remains the same, as does the match length, the structure, the same methodical pace. It's invariably 14 minutes or so long. The whole exTRa STar IN ThE TOKyO DOme narrative is beyond awful, but really, you can easily remove one star from a WWE tag match if it doesn't take place in Full Sail University.

It's almost as if main roster WWE is chronically over-produced!

Star Rating: ★★★½
