10 Matches We Must See In Lucha Underground Season 2
5. Rey Mysterio Vs. Prince Puma
If Jack Evans is the man who has taken high flying professional wrestling in North America to new levels, Prince Puma (or Ricochet) is the man who has shined it up, given it a glossy shell and done all there is to do with the art form. A man blessed with all of the natural talent in the world, Puma is a true dream match opponent for Rey Mysterio and has been for a number of years now. Prince Puma was the very first Lucha Underground champion, defending the strap against all comers before being unseated by Mil Muertes in the main event of the season ending Ultima Lucha. He has been an integral part of all three episodes of season two so far, and as such his role in the show doesn't seem to be diminishing. Rey Mysterio is too big a star to come in and be a bit-part player, so these two will be sharing space at the top of the card. Much like the excellent battles between Prince Puma and Johnny Mundo were some of the highlights of season one of Lucha Underground, I expect Puma and Rey to provide equally enthralling entertainment.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
