7. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel (Money In The Bank Ladder Match) - 2011
The above picture may confound even the most dedicated member of the WWE Universe. Is that Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel holding the WWE Tag Team Championships, you might ask? Well, yes, as hugely unlikely as that may seem, Slater and Gabriel held those titles on THREE separate occasions. But hey, this was during a period where John Cena and David Freaking Otunga held the belts, so maybe WWE Creative was asleep at the wheel when all this was happening. Geez. Ok, so maybe Slater and Gabriel weren't entirely horrible as a pairing. They are both decent hands in the ring, and Slater has some real comic timing, used to best effect during his time in 3MB. Gabriel is an incredible athlete, but could never seem to show any personality, leading to a difficulty connecting with audiences and to him eventually walking out on the WWE a few weeks ago. Therefore, neither man's resume would seem to qualify them for a spot in the Money In The Bank Ladder match, but yet there they were in 2011, presumably to make up numbers. Sharing the ring with established stars like Kane and Sheamus, as well as up and comers like Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and eventual winner Daniel Bryan, Slater and Gabriel did look a tad out of place, but at least they can always say they took part in a match of such stature.
