Over in WCW, Buff Bagwell had it made. Largely considered a homegrown star, Bagwell worked with the promotion for around a decade, and he was there when WCW was snapped up by Vince McMahon in March, 2001. Shortly thereafter, he moved over to the WWF.

Sporting a terrific physique and a winning, cocky gimmick, Buff should have been perfect to debut in the WWF. There was just one major problem, however, and that was the man's attitude.

Shane Helms, who also came over from WCW, had a fight with Bagwell during a mandated WWF training session. The scrap broke out - according to Helms - due to Buff's arrogance, and so The Hurricane threw a bottle of water off his head.

On his podcast, former announcer Jim Ross claimed he was repeatedly inundated with calls from Bagwell's mother about her son. Ross was working in Talent Relations at that point and quickly lost patience with the wrestler and his Mom.

These issues built to the point that Buff was let go from his contract with the WWF just a few months after signing, with only a couple of TV appearances to his name.

Aside from a scatter of appearances in TNA and on the independent scene, he has rarely been seen since in wrestling. When it came to the WWF in 2001, Buff, it seems, was not the stuff.
