10 Mistakes WWE Are Still Paying For
9. Bobby Roode's Low Key Introduction
This time last year, Bobby Roode was one of the biggest stars on NXT. Now, he's little more than a lower mid-carder on Raw, with little or no prospect of ascending the ranks in the immediate future.
To what do we owe this dramatic fall from grace? It might be blamed on the sheer size and depth of the current WWE roster. Roode is one of several talented stars who might have main evented in another era, but in today's are left languishing at the bottom of the show.
On the other hand, The Glorious One is also a victim of, if not poor, then at least sub-par booking. He arrived on SmackDown in a totally low key way, spending weeks competing opposite jobbers before he got a run at the US Title.
You compare this to the way in which fellow NXT recruits Kevin Owens and Finn Bálor were introduced to the main roster, and there's a massive difference. It's little wonder that fans have lost interest in him: they've given us absolutely no reason to care.
