10 Mistakes WWE Better Not Make Before WrestleMania 35
3. Putting Any Young Star In A Fail Spot Opposite 'Taker
Not to repeat what was said in the earlier Paul Heyman entry, but this guy loves The Undertaker. He's provided some of the best WrestleMania moments ever, including some of those memorable 'Streak' classics against Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Diesel, Batista and more.
That said, there's next-to-no-place for another short, uneventful 'Taker match at 'Mania 35.
Last year's limp effort opposite John Cena was scraping the bottom of the barrel from WWE. It was perhaps necessary due to the legend's advanced age and the fact he can't work 30-minute epics any more. We get that, we just hate that things have come to this. There was a time when WrestleMania without 'Taker seemed impossible.
Now, it's merciful. Should WWE book some young star against The Undertaker in New Jersey, they'll only be wasting time. The days of crowing about a win over 'The Deadman' on such a show died when Brock Lesnar killed his winning run, and a squash loss to the veteran could be a death knell for someone's career.
