10 Mistakes WWE Can't Afford To Make With Hell In A Cell 2016

6. Put The Odd Couple Over

Sheamus and Cesaro’s singles feud ended in farce, but their “odd couple” act is developing nicely. Their argument shortly after defeating The New Day on Raw shows they still have considerable problems, but they’re finding their feet as a team. As two of Raw’s best power wrestlers, Sheamus and Cesaro have immense potential as a team, but it all hinges on their ability to overcome their personal issues.

Theirs has been a story of gradual progress, and WWE would be skipping to the end if they become Raw Tag Team Champions this weekend. There are still too many problems between the two Europeans for winning gold to be a believable outcome, even if they did topple the champions on Raw. Give them a few more weeks, let the story play-out naturally, and then pull the trigger on a title run: Sunday is just too soon.

Besides, WWE may as well let The New Day break Demolition’s record at this point. They’ll become the longest-reigning tag champs of all time if they can hold onto the belts until mid-December, which sounds like a good timescale for Cesaro and Sheamus to find full cohesion. Even if they only break the record by a day or two, it’s worth stretching The New Day’s reign out a little longer.
