10 Mistakes WWE Has Already Made With RETRIBUTION

Asuka. Drew McIntyre. Roman Reigns. All of these top guys have killer names. While they may not be anything special, they stand out in your mind. Even mid-card acts like Bobby Lashley, Ricochet and Keith Lee have very concise names that roll of the tongue. RETRIBUTION, on the other hand, were dealt easily some of the worst names in recent WWE history.

Slapjack, T-Bar, Mace, Reckoning. All of these names are truly terrible. They do nothing to help get the characters over, they tell you nothing about the personalities. They are just dumb, useless, uninspired name. How is anyone going to take this group of heels seriously?

The names were only introduced on commentary during their first match and that shows how unsure WWE were on these names. If they were confident, they would have announced it during their opening promo. Instead, it was left to the commentary team to fill us in on the names of the characters. Saddling the group with these names immediately slots them at a jobber level, something they will never recover from.
