10 Misused WWE Wrestlers Who Got Released And STILL Struggled
9. No Way Jose
To be fair, the No Way Jose gimmick was never going to be World Champion. Still, the talented performer behind the character had infectious energy which could have been utilised in a much better way. While on the developmental brand, he didn't make too big a splash, but he had fans dancing along to his music and enjoying his brief in-ring performances.
When he made it to the main roster, the role didn't take off. He danced a lot and had some fun but was always looking up at the lights, even being given the embarrassing two-second Royal Rumble elimination slot.
No Way Jose was released from the company in April and was soon taking independent bookings under the new name Levy Valenz. Thanks in part to the pandemic and a lack of interest from significant promotions, the energetic former WWE star has found very little success.
There's hope that maybe he will find a place in a decent company. Still, it seems very unlikely for the unlucky performer, as the No Way Jose character will likely stick with him forever, and he seems destined to struggle as a serious competitor.
