10 MMA Fighters And Their WWE Counterparts

3. Ronda Rousey - Alundra Blayze

While it was tempting to just say Piper due to Rousey using the Rowdy nickname and being such a huge fan, the reality is that the UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion actually has quite a bit in common with Blayze, the biggest female wrestling star of her era. No one compared to her, just like no one compares to Rousey today. Like Rousey, Blayze was miles ahead of the competition, and when promoters wanted no part of women's wrestling, they still made an exception for her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jexq1O08oTI That's an awful lot like the way Ronda Rousey broke into the UFC, proving Dana White - who once said women would never fight in the promotion - wrong. Of course, she's gone a little further, and is now the company's biggest star, but to be fair to the trailblazing Blayze (no pun intended), it's a different time. Another great counterpart for Rousey: the Rock. Like the former WWE champion, Rousey is quickly becoming a star over in Hollywood.
